Educational Endorsements
We have received the following words of endorsement from members of the educational establishment and students
Mike Bainbridge - Head Teacher - Titchfield Primary School
“Following on from the schools Heroes day in May inspired by Danny Glavin, we were delighted to be invited by Danny to re-enact the day as part of the initiative to promote a National Heroes Day. We jumped at the chance as we'd had such a fabulous experience with our day dressed up as our Heroes and a subsequent children's fair of the children's initiative raising nearly £600!!! Our school was invaded by the local news, Channel 5, British Forces News, the local MP and Graham Satchell from the BBC no less. One of the most memorable days for me in a 21 year career and such a privilege to be part of such a fantastic cause!!!”
Catherine Butcher - Head Teacher - Locks Heath Infant School
“Heroes Day was a real success with all our school community. The children and their parents gave the event a great deal of thought and all the children came dressed as their personal hero. These ranged from book characters, sports stars, historical figures, the armed forces and emergency services, or just a member of their family. The school was filled with children dressed as doctors, nurses, vets, Florence Nightingales, Cinderellas, soldiers (from the First and Second World Wars), sailors and as their mum or dad. The children loved talking about their costume and why it had been chosen, and we got to know about someone special to the children. The event also raised over £500 for this very important cause. ”
James O'Brien - Head Teacher - Crofton Anne Dale Junior School
“A super fun day with very inventive costumes from children (and staff!), which was an excellent way to raise funds for such a worthy cause.”
Debby Marshall - Head Teacher - Gomer Infant School
“The heroes day was a great success and enabled our whole school community a chance to say thank you and well done!”
